SAD urges CM Bhagwant Mann to withdraw orders to ban Jugad Rehri as it will render thousands jobless

Shiromani Akali Dal has urged Bhagwant Mann led AAP government of the state to withdraw its orders banning Jugad Rehri in the state and said that this decision will render thousands jobless.

In a statement released here today, Senior Vice President of Akali Dal Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that decision to ban Jugad Rehri has come as a shock for thousands of people who have adopted means for self employment.

He said that such persons were selling vegetable, carrying waste in cities and are using such facility, created by themselves, for transporting various things from one place to another. He said that decision of the government will directly hit such persons and several thousands will become jobless.

The SAD leader said that before ordering imposition of such rules the government should have studies reality at ground level. He said that mere issuing of orders without studying ground level reality is not a sign of health governance.

He said that while ordering banning of such Jugad Rehris Bhagwant Mann government should have devised any other alternative of earnings for such persons who are using these vehicles. He said that government has completely failed to study the basic problem and has issued orders without even acknowledging effects of such orders.

Dr. Cheema urged the Chief Minister to immediately withdraw such orders of banning Jugad Rehris. He said that this decision has once again showed that Government has least control over governance. He said that it will be better for new CM to take feedback from ground level before ordering imposing of any order.
