In a significant organizational exercise aimed at strengthening the party structure up to the circle level, Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar-Surjeet) has appointed district observers across Punjab under the directions of party president Giani Harpreet Singh.
The announcement was made by party General Secretary Gurpartap Singh Wadala, who said the observers have been entrusted with the responsibility of reorganizing and expanding the party’s grassroots network in preparation for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.

Wadala said all newly appointed observers have been directed to complete the district and circle-level organizational structure within ten days and submit detailed reports to the party headquarters.
They have also been asked to prepare schedules for constituency-wise meetings and initiate a statewide campaign to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
The party leadership has emphasized the need for large-scale meetings and cadre mobilization across districts as part of its preparations for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
