Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, an erstwhile prominent leader of Shiromani Akali Dal Badal, who recently floated his own party Shiromani Akali Dal Democratic has been working hard and going strong since inception of his party. Dhindsa has been able to manage induction of various SAD Badal leaders in to his fold.
It has been learnt that Dhindsa is now all set to give SAD Badal a big jolt and the strategy for the same has been finalized.
A top leader and an important face of SAD Badal has agreed to quit the party and join Dhindsa’s Shiromani Akali Dal Democratic, sources said.
According to reliable sources, the groundwork for induction of this leader into Dhindsa’s party has been completed and a formal announcement in this regard could be made in a week or may be a fortnight.
If everything goes as planned, it could be the biggest political achievement of Dhindsa so far and could turn out to be the biggest loss and jolt for SAD Badal.
It is pertinent to mention here that besides Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa’s son and former Cabinet Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa, others who have joined include a former MP, former Ministers, former Deputy Speaker, former MLAs and other leaders.
