The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today urged party workers to go door to door to recruit members even as it said additional copies if needed could be taken from the party head office here.
Disclosing this here today, SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal’s Political Secretary Charanjit Singh Brar said copies for recruiting members for the SAD had been dispatched to all district presidents, legislators and halqa sewadars in the State.
He said party workers could approach these leaders for copies and in case they needed additional copies the same were available from the head office.
Mr Charanjit Brar said this step was being taken on the directions of the SAD President to ensure there was no let up in the membership drive. He said this would also bring in further efficiency in the recruitment process and fulfill the heavy demand for membership copybooks from party leaders and workers.
He said the membership drive was in full steam and that there was widespread enthusiasm amongst party leaders to recruit maximum members. He disclosed that the membership drive would continue till August 30.
