Prominent Sikh farmer leader of Punjab, President of Chandigarh unit of All India Jatt Mahasabha and National Delegate of Mahasabha S. Rajinder Singh Badheri has demanded immediate removal of Punjab Youth Congress President Brinder Singh Dhillon and Punjab Congress General Secretary Capt. Sandeep Kumar Sandhu from their posts. Releasing a statement to the press here today, Mr. Badheri said that the newly appointed President of Punjab Congress S. Navjot Singh Sidhu and Harish Rawat, the party’s in-charge of Punjab affairs, should immediately show the way out to these two leaders.
Mr. Badheri alleged that the two Congress leaders were allegedly collaborating with the sand mafia to carry out illegal mining from Lalru in Mohali district to Ropar, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Jalandhar, Gurdaspur and Pathankot. That is why the people of these districts are very angry with them. He said that in fact the illegal mining business of Brinder Singh Dhillon and Captain Sandeep Sandhu is continuously going on in the areas along the long border of Punjab with Himachal Pradesh and they are looting the common man on a large scale.
Mr. Badheri further said that these two leaders had been hiding behind th Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh and were now trying to forge closer ties with the new Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu. They are doing this so that their illegal mining business may continue uninterrupted.
Mr. Rajinder Singh Badheri also appealed to the Congress High Command to expel both Dhillon and Sandhu from party posts with immediate effect so that the general public could be saved from unnecessary looting. He said that the Congress High Command must take this step as soon as possible to save the people from avoidable harassment.
