It comes as no surprise that actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood continues to win hearts with his generosity — but this time, it’s his endearing gesture that’s melting hearts.
A touching video from Darbhanga, Bihar, recently went viral, capturing two young brothers on a bicycle carrying the Indian tricolor. The elder, who lost his father, pedals determinedly while his younger brother sits behind, proudly holding the flag.
The touching video moved Sonu Sood deeply. Stepping in as their savior, he announced that he would take complete responsibility for the boys’ education. Sharing his promise, Sood said: “सोमवार से दोनों भाई स्कूल जाएँगे। नम्बर भेज रहाँ हूँ। बसता बांध लो 🙏”
“From Monday, both brothers will go to school. I’m sending the number. Pack your school bags. 🙏”
When asked about their story, the elder boy revealed that after their father’s passing, their mother works in Mumbai as a domestic help while their elder sister manages the household. To support the family, he himself had to drop out of school and work in a cap-making factory. Yet, he has vowed that no matter the struggle, his younger brother’s education will never be sacrificed.
Sonu Sood real-life heroism has made him one of the most beloved figures in the country. Ever since the pandemic, he has consistently stood by those in need, offering help to the poor and underprivileged. This latest gesture once again cements his reputation as the people’s hero, a man whose compassion speaks louder than any on-screen role.
