Ravneet Bittu hails Haryana CM Khattar for exposing real face of SAD, Badals

Ludhiana, October 14, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)
Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu, Member of Parliament from Ludhiana, today appreciated the expose made by Haryana CM Mr Manohar Lal Khattar about the Badal family.

In a press statement issued here today, Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu stated that while addressing an election rally at Haryana, Mr Khattar openly stated that the party was saved from making a big mistake (of joining hands with Shiromani Akali Dal for Haryana elections) as they wanted to field only people with clean backgrounds to be associated with them.

During the election rally, Mr Khattar claimed that one person, believed to be of good character, was earlier associated with the Haryana BJP. He claimed that few months ago, they came to know that the same person was involved in business of selling drugs.

Mr Khattar claimed that when that particular person was shunned out from BJP, the Shiromani Akali Dal welcomed them and even made him their candidate from one of the constituencies. He even claimed that the Shiromani Akali Dal literally “begged” the BJP for contesting the elections jointly, which was rejected by the BJP.

Reacting to Mr Khattar’s statement, Mr Bittu said that it clearly shows political bankruptcy of the Akali Dal as they are forced to announce rejected candidates of other parties as their candidates. “It even shows that their own coalition partners (BJP) are eager to let go of them as the Badal family has looted the state for several years to fill their own coffers.

I demand that Union Minister Mrs Harsimrat Kaur Badal should immediately resign from her post if she has some dignity left in her. And if she refuses to do so, it would show their (Badal family’s) greed for posts and power. I also demand that Mrs Harsimrat should also clarify everything that Mr Khattar has said about her family ,” said Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu.

He further said that Mr Manohar Lal Khattar’s open admission about the “real character” of Badal family is testimony of what the Punjab Congress has been raising voice for several years.
