Rana KP appointed as Chief Patron of All India Rajput Students’ Aid Society

Chandigarh, June 23:

The Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Rana KP Singh was today appointed as Chief Patron of All India Rajput Students’ Aid Society at a function held here at Maharana Pratap Hostel, Sector 25.

The Speaker was the Chief Guest at a function organised by the All India Rajput Students’ Aid Society regarding life and legacy of Maharana Pratap.

Paying floral tributes to the great warrior King of Mewar, the Speaker said that Mewar Kesari Maharana Pratap had not fought against any religion or caste but for the sake of his motherland. He never compromised on the principles of independence and self-respect and he did not bow down to the Mughal Army.

Despite paucity of funds and sparse soldiers, Maharana Pratap stood firm against Mughals, he added.

The historic battle of Haldighati was fought between Maharana Pratap and Akbar’s forces. Though Maharana Pratap couldn’t win the battle but he astonished everyone with his courage and commanding skills, he further said.

Remembering the valour of Maharana Pratap, Rana KP Singh called upon the Rajput community members to follow the foot steps of Maharana Pratap and always be ready to fight for the honour of the country.

During the function Rana KP Singh announced a grant of Rs 10 lakh and also released an annual report book 2017-18 of the society. The society members felicitated the speaker with a memento.

Prominent among others presented in the function included Haryana MLA Mr. Shyam Singh Rana, Haryana Ex-MLAs Mr. Satvinder Singh Rana, Sharda Rathore and Karni Sena Chief Mr. Suraj Pal Amu.
