Newly appointed Commissioner of Jalandhar Division Mr. Raj Kamal Chaudhary today said that he would accord top priority to further ensuring implementation of the pro-people welfare schemes of the state government in the division.
Interacting with the media persons here at the local Circuit House after taking salute from the ceremonial Guard of Honour, the Commissioner of Jalandhar Division, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of Police Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Navjot Singh Mahal, said that major thrust would be on ensuring that the benefits of these schemes were percolated to the people from needy and under privileged sections.
Mr. Chaudhary said that he would personally monitor these schemes and give necessary directions to the Deputy Commissioners to ensure that people were benefitted from it. He said that every effort would be made to ensure transparent and accountable administration to the masses in Jalandhar Division.
The Divisional Commissioner also said that proper implementation of schemes like Smart Village Campaign, Ghar-Ghar Rozgar, Mahatma Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojna, Tandarust Punjab, National Artificial Insemination scheme for the animals and others would be another major thrust area.
He said that all out efforts would also be made chalking out a comprehensive strategy for checking the depleting water table in the Division. Mr. Chaudhary sought fulsome support and cooperation from the people in general and officers in particular for this noble task.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police welcomed the Divisional Commissioner on reaching at Circuit house. The officers also had a brief meeting with Mr. Chaudhary at Circuit House during which they briefed him about the activities being going on in the city.
On the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioners Mr. Vishesh Sarangal and Mr. Jasbir Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Arun Saini, Sub Divisional Magistrates Mr. Rahul Sindhu and Dr. Jai Inder Singh, Assistant Commissioners Mr. Varjeet Walia and Mr. Hardeep Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr. Harsimrat Singh, Sub Registrar Mr. Lakhwinder Singh Gill, Tehsildar Mr. Rupinder Pal Singh Bal and others were also present.
