PYDB Chairman Bindra honours 44 Corona Warriors for selfless services towards humanity

Punjab Youth Development Board Chairman Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Bindra, on Friday, honoured Corona Warriors from different walks of life with appreciation letters from Government of Punjab for their selfless and tireless services towards humanity during COVID-19 waves.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Bindra said that this deadly pandemic, which had spread all over the world, has claimed many precious lives, but during these trying times, corona warriors such as doctors, healthcare workers, Police personnel, NGOs and youth of Punjab were on the forefront and they served the humanity by risking their lives into danger.

“I, on behalf of the Punjab Government would like to thank these Corona Warriors as they not only meticulously handled the situation but infused the ray of hope into dying life”, he added. On this occasion, a total 44 corona warriors were honoured for relentless services in COVID times.

Mr. Bindra said that the Punjab Youth Development Board has launched COVID Helpline-95772-00003 besides distributing more than 2500 Certified PPE Kits and insurance worth Rs.25 lacs to Corona Warriors, installed 3 Gas Crematorium in Sahnewal with the cost of Rs.25 lacs approximately through CSR Funds and organized 300 free vaccination camps, while fee of more than 9000 Students was waived off during pandemic times. The Youth Development Board has also helped students to return back home, who were held-back in other states due to lockdown.
