Punjab Vigilance Bureau has summoned Ajit Group Managing Editor Dr. Barjinder Singh Hamdard.
Padma Bhushan, Dr. Barjinder Singh Hamdard has been summoned in connection with an ongoing investigation in the case related to the misuse of funds of Jang-e-Azadi Memorial constructed on Jalandhar-Kartarpur Road.
Dr. Lakhwinder Johal, the Secretary of the Yadgar, is among the persons who have already been questioned in this connection.
The Vigilance Bureau has also visited the Yadgar in connection with the investigation, gathered information regarding the records, and also got done evaluation of certain things and the building.
Dr. Hamdard is a noted author and a former member of Rajya Sabha.
Dr. Hamdard had resigned as Member Secretary of Jang-e-Azadi Memorial Foundation after the Vigilance Bureau initiated an iquiry into the issue of misuse of funds.
