The Punjab school education department has developed an online software on the e-Punjab portal regarding pension cases of retired employees of the department.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the school education department said that so far the information regarding the pensioners/pensions has been sent to the head office in various Performa by concerned school head which was wasting a lot of time of the DDOs. An online software has now been developed by the department to avoid this problem.
With the help of the new link ‘Retire Benefits’ provided under this portal, this information can be filled once by the concerned school head at his own level. With the creation of this portal, school heads / offices will not have to repeatedly send hard copies of pension information to the head office.
According to the spokesperson, DDOs, block primary education officers, district education officers have been directed to ensure timely uploading of data of pension cases / pensioners on e-Punjab portal.
It will be the responsibility of the concerned education officer / DDO to upload the data on time. According to the spokesperson, no officer / employee need to come to the head office with information regarding pension cases / data of pensioners.
