The Punjab Government has now put the transfers and postings of 22 IAS and 30 PCS officers on hold yet again and now for an idefinite period in view of prevailing COVID situation.
It may be recalled that the state government had issued orders regarding transfers of 22 IAS and 30 PCS officers on 26th of May which were to take effect immediately.
However, on 27th of May the government issued a subsequent order stating that the transfers shall remain on hold and will take effect from 5th of June 2021.
An order was issued on June 8 again that the transfers shall now take effect from June 20, 2021.
However, the government has now again put on hold the above transfers, for an indefinite period, till further orders in view of situation of COVID in the state.
