Punjab IPS officers’ Revised Select Lists from 2010 to 2018 Released – 17 to get appointments as IPS

Chandigarh, April 6, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
Ministry of Home Affairs Tuesday released revised and fresh select lists from the year 2010 to 2018 in respect of Punjab Officers, some of whom are already IPS while some PPS officers have been elevated as IPS officers.

Interestingly and disappointingly, some of the officers, named in the list, who have retired as PPS have been designated as IPS officers.

These officers are likely to be allocated (batch) seniority soon.

The situation came to where it is today, due to prolonged litigation among the officers to which the successive governments also became parties.

Out of the above officers, 17 officers have been given appointment (excluding those who retired and those who have been put on hold due to some cases against them).

Serving officers who have been selected for appointments include Baljot Singh Rathore, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar (2010), Gurdial Singh (2012), Mandip Singh, Narinder Bhargav & Ranjit Singh (2013), Rajpal Singh (2014), Ajay Maluja (2015), Rakesh Kumar Kaushal & Harcharan Singh Bhullar (2016), Satinder Singh, Harmanbir Singh, Ashwani Kumar & Sukhwnt Singh Gill (2017), Jaspreet Singh Sidhu, Gurmeet Singh Chauhan & Naveen Saini (2018).
