Punjab Govt accords Cabinet rank to former minister Joginder Singh Mann

Punjab government has accorded Cabinet rank to former Punjab Minister and Chairman of Punjab Agro Industries Corporation Joginder Singh Mann.

Mann, a three time former MLA from Phagwara had been a Minister in Cabinets of Chief Ministers Beant Singh, Harcharan Singh Brar and Captain Amarinder Singh.

A staunch Congress leader Mann had been instrumental in coup against Captain Amarinder Singh and is considered close to Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu. The Cabinet rank is being considered as a reward of loyalty by the Congress high command.

Meanwhile, Mann thanked Chief Minister Channi, PPCC Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Cabinet Ministers Rana Gurjit Singh and Tript Rajjnder Bajwa and former Punjab Congress Chief Sunil Jakhar for bestowing this great responsibility.
