Punjab Governor has upheld dignity of Constitution: Partap Singh Bajwa

Senior Congress leader and leader of opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha Partap Singh Bajwa has congratulated Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit for ordering the withdrawal of one day assembly session on ‘confidence motion’ by AAP government which was against the rules of the house.

Bajwa said, with this step of his, the Governor hass upheld the honour and dignity of  our constitution and assembly.

“This has sent a message to to Arvind Kejriwal who was directing Punjab Govt for misusing constitional bodies and established democratic procedures for nefarious political ends. This can’t be tolerated,” he said.

Bajwa said, this confidence motion was nothing but a gimmick to divert the attention of the public from the various scandals and difficulties faced by Kejriwal and Punjab Government.

The Congress leader claimed that this episode has once again shown that Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government is nothing but a pawn in the hands of Kejriwal who can go to any exgtent to please his political master.
