Punjab Fin Dept releases 407-cr for GPF, Samagraha Shiksha Abhiyaan & Swachh Bharat Mission

The Finance Department has released Rs. 406.85 crores on account of General Provident Fund (GPF) and advances upto January 31, 2020, besides Samagraha Shiksha Abhiyaan (Elementary) and Swachh Bharat mission (Urban).

Disclosing this here on Friday, an official spokesperson said that funds to the tune of Rs.146.89 crore have been released for making payment of final GPF and advances to the employees. A sum of Rs.133.99 crore has been released for Samagraha Shiksha Abhiyaan (Elementary) and Rs. 69.30 crore for Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban).

Likewise, all the pending payments worth Rs. 21.17 crore related to water supply schemes including NABARD/World Bank/Government of India schemes/State’s schemes has also been released.

Further, an amount of Rs.13.22 crore under MNREGA, Rs.12.18 crore for Skill Development and Rs.10.10 crore for Asian Development Bank assisted tourism projects in the state have also been released.
