Punjab extends date for post-Matric Scholarships for SC and BC students

On the direction of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Minister Punjab, Dr. Raj Kumar Verka, the date for opening the portal for post-matric scholarships for Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes has been extended.

A spokesperson of the Department of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities said that this decision has been taken keeping in view the interests of the students so that no student would be deprived of applying for the scholarship.

According to the spokesperson, the institutes will prepare a complete case for the scholarship for the year 2021-22 and send it for further approval by December 7, 2021.

The cases will be forwarded to the sanctioning authorities by December 15. December 20 has been fixed for completion of the entire process.
