Punjab Congress’ former spokesman Gurwinder Bali joins SAD in presence of Sukhbir Badal

Chandigarh, April 20, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)

The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today received a major boost in Anandpur Sahib constituency with former Congress leader and spokesman Gurvinder Singh Bali joining the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in the presence of its president Sukhbir Singh Badal.

The SAD president visited the residence of Mr Bali at Panchkula and inducted him into the party fold along with his supporters. Accompanied by his Political Secretary Charanjit Singh Brar, the SAD president assured that Mr Bali would be given due honour and recognition in the SAD. He urged Mr Bali to work for further strengthening the SAD.

Mr Bali launched a blistering attack on the Congress party and even chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh on the occasion. He said the CM had been forced to visit the Congress Bhawan and talk to party leaders after he revolted against the party.

“Before this Capt Amarinder Singh never thought it fit to even visit the Congress Bhawan let alone address the grievances of party workers”, he added.

Mr Bali said he had earlier fought for ‘maan-samman’ of Congress workers. I have served the Congress as a worker and I felt deeply disturbed at the manner in which Capt Amarinder Singh ignored the Congress workers”.

Mr Bali assured the SAD president that he would serve the SAD as a loyal soldier and would soon fan out in Anandpur Sahib constituency and expose the real face of the Congress party and the chief minister.
