In the case of corruption charges and irregularities in recruitment, the district Kapurthala court acquits former Vice Chancellor of Punjab Technical University Dr Rajneesh Arora from all corruption and irregularities charges. In its decision the Court accepted and granted the cancellation reportof Punjab Vigilance Bureau to dispose off the case.
It is worth mentioning that Ex VC Dr Arora was under scanner of vigilance after his historical decision to open enquiries against malafied practices prevailed in University’s Distance Education system.
He started work against mall practices forces and decided to shut down the university distance education centres, which were so called shops to buy degrees, at national level. During Dr Arora’s courruption cleanliness drive one of University’s Dean also faced suspension.
After the deep hearing in all charges, District Kapurthala court of additional district and session judge Jaspal Singh granted the cancellation report of vigilance to disposed the case and announced relief to Dr Rajneesh Arora ex vc in all charges.
The court also acquits the other 9 person registered in the same case.
