The struggle of National Health Mission workers is continuing in the state to get their services regularized. Every day the employees are expressing their anger towards the state government in different ways.
On whose shoulders the responsibility of providing health services to the people of the state rests, he himself is a victim of economic and mental abuse; Because due to low salary, these employees are not able to provide even basic facilities to their family members. Health and education reflects the prosperity of any state. Despite being a basic department, these employees of the health department in Punjab are victims of exploitation for about 10-15 years due to the anti-employee policies of the government.
These employees are recruited in the department through a completely transparent recruitment process and fulfill all the educational qualifications. At present, AYUSH, Dental, Specialists etc. about 900 doctors, 1360 nurse employees, about 2000 ANM employees and other paramedical and technical personnel are working under the National Health Mission.
The health of the people of the state is entirely on the shoulders of these employees, but neither the Pay Commission nor the Labor Commission is ready to take the responsibility of these employees, Because these are the only two such units which decide the salary of any employee.
In such a situation, the employees have no other option than to adopt the path of dharna-demonstrations. When contacted Dr. Inderjeet Singh Rana, head of the National Health Mission Core Committee in this regard, he said that the Finance Minister of the state always refers to the treasury being empty.
Is the development of the state a different issue from the development of the employees? He is the finance minister of the state for the last 5 years and still the state treasury is empty, so he has no right to remain in his seat.
In order to convey this voice to them, the National Health Mission employees have decided to hold a huge rally in district Bathinda on Tuesday. The employees say that this voice of theirs will become the voice of the people of the state in the coming time, for which the Finance Minister will have to suffer in the coming elections.
