Member of Parliament from Patiala and Former Minister of State for External Affairs (GOI) Preneet Kaur wrote a letter to Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari requesting that access be provided to village Daftariwala, Ghagga, Sub Division Patran, District Patiala on Delhi-Katra expressway.
In her letter to the minister Preneet Kaur said that, “the residents of Patran have brought to her attention that the Delhi-Katra Express Highway is being built up over the crossing Patran Ghagga State Highway and no access has been provided in District Patiala, due to which they will not be able to use this express highway.”
She further wrote that, “The only access has been provided in District Sangrur which is about 40 KM away from Patran. So it is requested that access be provided on this express highway near village Daftariwala, Ghagga, Sub Division Patran, District Patiala, Punjab.”
The Patiala MP further urged Nitin Gadkari to sympathetically look into this request, which she said will benefit not only people of Patran but also the people of whole Patiala District.
