Patiala, July 10, 2024 (Yes Punjab News)

Hon’ble BJP Leader Preneet Kaur today expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his successful diplomatic efforts in securing the release of Indian youth who were forcibly recruited to fight in the Russia-Ukraine war.

“I want to thank Prime Minister Modi for his tireless efforts in bringing back our youth from the Russia-Ukraine war,” Preneet Kaur said in a statement. “His leadership and diplomacy are truly commendable, and we are grateful for his unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of Indian citizens.”

Preneet Kaur had been actively pursuing the case of Indian youth stranded in Russia, particularly 21-year-old Gurpreet Singh from Village Dakala in Patiala Lok Sabha constituency.

On April 2, she wrote a letter to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, demanding intervention to ensure the safe passage of these youngsters back to India. Since then, she has been following up with the ministry to ensure their safe return.

The mother of Gurpreet Singh, Baljinder Kaur, 45, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Preneet Kaur and the Prime Minister. “I am forever grateful to Preneet Kaur ji for taking my son’s case so seriously and helping us in securing his safe return.

When I first met her, she assured me that she and the government would do everything in their power to ensure his safety. Today, with the news of the PM securing their return, our days have been filled with hope and joy. We eagerly await Gurpreet’s arrival and thank the PM and Preneet Kaur ji from the bottom of our hearts.”

Preneet Kaur added, “I pray to Waheguru ji that now all our Indian youngsters stuck in Russia come back home safely and very soon.”
