PAY faculty pays tributes to Dr S.S.Dosanjh

A condolence meeting was held in the Department of Agricultural Journalism, Languages and Culture, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana to pay tributes to Dr S.S. Dosanjh, an eminent scholar and author of many books.

The faculty and staff of the department expressed grief on his sad demise. Dr Dosanjh contributed his services as Head of the Department of Agricultural Journalism, Languages & Culture and worked as editor of university magazine Changi Kheti during his stint in the university.

He was a prolific writer and an erudite scholar who was known for creating a benchmark in the field of journalism. He was bestowed with Dr Mahinder Singh Randhawa Memorial Award on his 75th birth anniversary by Kaumi Sahit te Kala Parishad at Punjabi Bhawan.

On the literary front, Dr Dosanjh was an active member of Punjabi Sahit Academy where he popularized folk literature. He also contributed many articles in leading newspapers. As Head of the Department of Agricultural Journalism, Languages & Culture, he played an instrumental role in the growth of the department by taking numerous qualitative initiatives. He will be remembered for his virtuous deeds, dedication, commitment and enthusiastic endeavours.
