Ms Ekta, a Ph.D. scholar, Department of Chemistry, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has bagged the “Young Scientist Award” during the 25th Punjab Science Congress-2022 on “Future Endeavours of Sciences and Technology for Sustainable Growth” held recently in February.
She was awarded for her research work on “Sulfonamide functionalized Silica Nanocomposites: Characterization and Fluorescence “turn-on” Detection of fe3+ ions in Aqueous Samples.”
The award contains a certificate, a medal and cash prize of Rs 7,500. The research work was conducted under the supervision of Dr Divya Utreja, Assistant Professor (Chemistry), PAU.
Mr DK Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor, PAU; Dr Shammi Kapoor, Registrar-cum- Dean, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, Dr Sandeep Bains, Dea Post Graduate Studies; Dr TS Riar, Additional Director Communication and Dr Manjeet Kaur Sangha, Head of the Department, congratulated the student for this award.
