While releasing this press note on 21.01.21 Vikram Jeet Duggal IPS, SSP Patiala said that a special drive has been launched by the Patiala Police to contact the immovable property of the fugitive criminals in various cases by contacting the Revenue Department.
During the campaign FIR No. 85 dated 22.05.2020 U/S 302,148,149, 506 IPC and 25/54/59 Arms Act PS Anaj Mandi Patiala on 23-11-2020, Convicted criminal Kanwar Randeep Singh alias SK Kharoud S/o Sukhmel Singh resident of village Baran in district Patiala and Jatinder Shergill S/o Gurmel Singh resident of village Khansian, Sanour, Patiala were declared fugitives by Hon’ble Area Magistrate.
It may also be mentioned here that the culprit Kanwar Randeep Singh alias SK Kharoud is already having several FIR’s registered against him in Patiala.
Disclosing this here today Duggal further said that under the supervision of SP/City, Patiala and DSP/City-2, Patiala were supervised by SHO Anaj Mandi Patiala has obtained property details of P.O Kanwar Randeep Singh alias SK Kharoud and P.O Jatinder Shergill from Revenue Department Patiala and Correspondence regarding attachment of property of both the fugitives was issued under 83 CRPc in the court of Hon’ble Area Magistrate.
The Hon’ble Court issued WARRANT OF ATTACHMENT on 18.01.2021 in the name of Tehsildar Patiala regarding attachment of property of both the fugitives.
However, while taking action, P.O Jatinder Shergill’s 05 Bighe 01 Viswa property which is in village Khansia Sanour and P.O. Kanwar Randeep Singh alias S.K Kharoud’s 01 Bigha 05 Viswa Property which is in village Baran, District Patiala.
The property of these two fugitives has been attached as per the court order. The value of the attached property is around Rs. 01 Crore 20 Lacs. Similarly Patiala Police was taking action to attach the property of the fugitives in the entire district. Apart from this, the fugitives are being reprimanded that whoever tries to hide from the police, his property will be attached as per the law.
