Regional Passport Officer Mr. Yashpal said that the ‘Passport Mela’ was organized today at Regional Passport Office, Jalandhar. He said that more than 140 applicants attended this passport mela who were deported or travelled to India on Emergenc Certificate (EC).
He further stated that over 100 such cases have been approved and cleared for issuance of passport. The RPO highlighted that the Regional Passport Office Jalandhar will organize such melas and special camps in future also to facilitate people in getting their passports issued.
