PAMETI organizes workshop on ‘Leadership Skills for Employees Relationship Management’

Punjab Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (PAMETI), situated at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Campus, Ludhiana organized a three-day workshop on ‘Leadership Skills for Employee Relationship Management” for extension officials from State Agriculture and Allied Departments, which concluded today.

The main objective of this workshop was to enhance the leadership skills of extension officials for bringing effectiveness in their respective work areas through better relationship management, in which 28 extension officials participated.

Dr HS Dhaliwal, Director, PAMETI, during the inaugural session discussed the need for leadership skills in today’s extension scenario. He highlighted the objectives of the whole programme and stated that leaders are not born; these skills can be developed with training.

Ms Rupinder Kaur, Dy Director-HRM, PAMETI coordinated the whole programme and interacted with participants on ‘Dealing with Difficult People at workplace’. The participants were enlightened by various experts for different sessions such as the communication style of leaders, leadership drills, delegation, maintaining work relationships and emotional labour etc. The programme was highly appreciated by all the participants.
