The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee President and National Spokesman of the Shiromani Akali Dal Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa today said that the Pakistan Government is trying to help black hats who are trying to convert Bhai Taru Singh ji Shaheedi Asthan Gurudwara into a mosque.
In a statement released here today, Mr. Sirsa said that it is shocking to see that the Pakistan Government has blamed Indian Media for defaming it. He said that instead of listening to the voice of its own citizens particularly Sikhs and Evacuee Trust Property Board, the Government of Pakistan is trying to help out those black hats who are on a spree to damage religious places of the minority community.
He said that the Pakistan Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (PSGPC) Chief Mr. Satwant Singh has gone on record in a viral video in which he has disclosed how attempts are being made to convert pious place into a mosque by miscreants.
He said that apart from it Evacuee Trust Property Board Secretary Sanjqullah Khan has written to DIG (ops) Lahore about one Sohail Butt/Attari s/o Salah ud Din Butt local resident of Lahore so called focal person of Darbar Hazrat Shah Kaku Chisti has tried to defame Pakistan by uploading a baseless propaganda video against Sikh community of Pakistan, PSGPC & ETP Board.
He has also given a DVD of the said footage to the police and sought action against the guilty. But instead of taking note of this, the Pakistan Government is trying to help out black hats who are promoted by desperate radicals who are always active against Minority Communities in Pakistan.
He said that it is more shocking to see that those who want to convert this sacred place into a mosque are demanding proof of Shaheedi of Bhai Taru Singh. He asked ‘Do Sikhs need to prove what sacrifices they made in the land which is now part of Pakistan ?’
He also said that it has been 11 months since when Jagjit Kaur daughter of Head Granthi is languishing in jail only because she has refused to marry a Muslim man. He said that Sikhs which always worked to save daughters of even enemies, now have to keep safe their daughters in Pakistan out of fear of their abduction. He also question whether these are facilities which the Pakistan Government was claiming to provide to minorities.
Mr. Sirsa urged the Prime Minister Mr. Imran Khan to awake from deep slumber and order action against the guilty who are trying to convert Shaheedi Asthan of Bhai Taru Singh ji into a mosque and threatened Sikh community and also take steps to ensure safety and security of minorities in his country.
