Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, in collaboration with the Punjab Development Commission, Government of Punjab, successfully organized an Orientation Workshop on the Implementation of the Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum (EMC) at its campus.
The Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum (EMC) is a visionary initiative of the Government of Punjab aimed at fostering entrepreneurial thinking and self-employment among youth. A mandatory 2-credit course, EMC has been introduced across B.Tech., BBA, B.Com., and B.Voc. programmes in universities across the state.
The curriculum is delivered through an AI-powered mobile application, encouraging students to think innovatively, learn through video-based content, complete assignments and quizzes, and receive mentor-guided supervision.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from delegates representing affiliated colleges, constituent and campus colleges, and university departments.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Gurinderpal Singh Brar, Registrar, MRSPTU, along with Dr. Sanjiv Kumar Aggarwal, Campus Director, and Dr. Amit Bhatia, Dean Academic Affairs.
The technical sessions were conducted by Mr. Suraj Subhash Yadav, Programme Leader, Punjab Startup Master Union, who highlighted the societal importance of entrepreneurship and demonstrated the key features of the EMC App. He elaborated on the mentor’s role and showcased how AI-enabled tools facilitate student learning and evaluation.
In the second session, participants engaged in hands-on training with the EMC App, navigating modules, exploring the interface, and practicing its AI-driven evaluation features. This practical session enabled participants to experience the complete student journey on the platform.
The workshop concluded with an open discussion where delegates deliberated on potential challenges and shared constructive feedback for effective implementation of the EMC across institutions.
Dr. Manjeet Bansal, Dean (Consultancy & Linkages), MRSPTU, delivered the concluding remarks, while Dr. Satnam Singh extended a formal vote of thanks.
