The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) has issued a clarification regarding the recent appointment of the District President of NSUI Jalandhar, declaring it null and void with immediate effect.
In an official statement released from the NSUI national headquarters at 5, Raisina Road, New Delhi, Munishwar Sharma, National Secretary and Punjab In-charge of NSUI, stated that the appointment was made without the knowledge or approval of the National President Shri Varun Choudhary ji and the State In-charge.
“The recent appointment of NSUI District President Jalandhar has been made without the knowledge of National President Shri Varun Choudhary ji and State In-charge. Therefore, the said appointment is to be held invalid and is null and void till further orders,” the statement read.
The clarification comes amid reports of confusion over the leadership structure in Jalandhar district. NSUI emphasized that all organizational appointments must go through proper channels and be approved by the national and state leadership to maintain transparency and discipline within the student organization.
Sources within NSUI confirmed that the central leadership is in the process of reviewing the Punjab unit’s appointments to ensure compliance with the organization’s guidelines.
