Anger had evoked among the American Punjabi Community in the North America about the Registration of FIR against a Mohali based Social worker Simranjit Kaur Gill Advocate. This was disclosed here by Satnam Singh Chahal executive director North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) in a press release issued here today.
While condemning the registration of FIR against Mohali based Simranjit Kaur Gill Advocate, Chahal said that it seems that this was a conspiracy to discourage Simranjit Kaur Gill Advocate from the social services which she is performing for the welfare of peoples in the state.
Miss Simranjit is a great social leader of our community who should not be discouraged at all to stop her by performing social services in the state added Chahal. Recently She played an important role in helping the flood-hit victims in the Doaba region and people of our state can not forget her services which she is performing for the welfare of our society said Chahal.
NAPA Urged the Punjab Police and Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh to look into the matter to cancel the FIR registered against Simranjit Kaur Gill Advocate. Chahal also assured to Simranjit Kaur Gill Advocate that the Punjabi Diaspora express its solidarity with her and will leave no stone upturned to get this FIR canceled against her.
