Rajpura (Patiala), Jan 26, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
Marked by patriotism, Nabha Power Limited celebrated the 72nd Republic Day of India on the premises at its 2x700MW Rajpura Thermal Power Plant, dedicating its operations to the service of the nation.

Chief Executive Officer, NPL, Mr Athar Shahab, hoisted the National Flag which was followed by the National Anthem.

Speaking on the occasion, the CEO called upon the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and lauded their undying spirit to bring ‘Swaraj’ in India. He also hailed the contributions being made by people from all walks of life to make India stand out in the world as a union of diverse cultures, creeds and regions.

Recalling history, he said India came under foreign occupation as it was divided amongst small territories and the rulers at that time remained oblivious to the economic and industrial revolutions that were shaping the European nations.

He said today, India has emerged as a military and economic power, but, with industrial revolution 4.0 on its way, India needs to fast track it’s growth in several spheres such as genetics, medicine, artificial intelligence, material science and space technology to stay ahead of other nations.

Expressing his gratitude for the soldiers, who protect the national borders, he also praised the hard work being put in by the young workforce, who are contributing to the economic growth of the country.

He also drew attention towards the engineers and employees of Nabha Power Limited, who work tirelessly to generate power for the state of Punjab lighting up millions of homes and propelling the state’s industrial growth.
