No time sought, no meeting with Sidhu till he apologizes: CM’s Media Advisor Raveen Thukral

Chandigarh, July 20, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh’s office has reacted to the claims of newly appointed Punjab Congress Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu Camp’s claims that Sidhu had sought time to meet the Chief Minister.

Amarinder’s Media Advisor Raveen Thukral Monday took to Twitter to clear the air.

Raveen Thukral said, “Reports of Navjot Sidhu seeking time to meet Capt Amarinder Singh are completely false. No time has been sought whatsoever. No change in stance.. CM won’t meet Navjot Singh Sidhu till he publicly apologizes for his personally derogatory social media attacks against him.”

It is pertinent to mention here that Sidhu’s appointment was announced on Saturday night. He was there in Chandigarh on Sunday but the meeting between the two leaders could not materialize as Capt Amarinder Singh had made it clear that he won’t meet Sidhu till he apologizes for his social media rants.

The Sidhu Camp, especially MLA Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, had categorically stated that time has been sought from the Chief Minister. An impression was that while Sidhu had sought time to meet the Chief Minister which was not granted.

To dispel this, Raveen Thukral today not only trashed the claims of having sought any meeting by Sidhu but also made it clear that the Chief Minister was firm on his stand not to meet Sidhu till he apologizes publicly.
