On the invitation of the Health Minister of Punjab, today there was a meeting of NRHM Employees Union, Punjab State President Dr. Indrajit Singh Rana and others. Along with Dr.Rana, from the association S. Amarjit Singh, Director Health and Family Welfare, Director NHM, Director Finance, Manager HR, and other leaders of the Association were present in this meeting.
In a long meeting with leaders, the Health Minister affirmed the decision to regularize the services of the employees that whenever permanent recruitments are made in the department, 50 percent of the posts will be filled directly by the National Health Mission personnel and there will be no age limit.
Employees were asked to increase their salary annually until all employees became regularized. After a long discussion, it was finally agreed that the employees would be given a 15 percent per year increase on their existing salary.
Following these decisions, the strike has been postponed by the employees for the time being.
Jaswinder Kaur and Harvinder Kaur from the staff nurse cadre present on the occasion, ANM leaders Kiranjit Kaur and Raman Bala, Dr. Prabhjot Jabal from RBSK, CHO Ramanpreet Kaur, and Dr. Sunil, AYUSH, Dr. Wahid Mohammed, Avtar Singh, Narinder Kumar, and all the present leaders supported these decisions and appealed to the government to immediately issue a notification for the same.
