In order to synergize the involvement of all the concerned stakeholders for transforming the automobile sector in the state, the Punjab government would be organizing New Mobility Session under the aegis of the Invest Punjab Summit at SAS Nagar Mohali.
Divulging the details, the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma said that the ongoing transformation of the automobile industry requires involvement of all the concerned stakeholders in order to speed up the process but in a smooth and effective manner.
He said that the New Mobility Session has thus been planned to bring together all the stakeholders on a single platform. Mr. Sharma said that the theme of the session “Future of Mobility in Punjab-Challenges & Opportunities” aptly signifies the need of the hour and lays down stress on how Punjab could be placed as front runner in this transformative journey.
The Deputy Commissioner further said that the session has a panel discussion format wherein leading captains of industry would share their valuable perspective on given theme.
He said that the panelist includes wide spectrum participation of MD President and MD Volvo Group Mr. Kamal Bali, MD Virgin Hyperloop One Mr. Harjinder Dhaliwal, CFO SML Isuzu Mr. Gopal Bansal, CEO Mahindra Electric Mr. Mahesh Babu, MD Hero Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Naveen Munjal, MD Hella India Lightings Mr. Ramashankar Pandey and others.
Mr. Sharma said that the discussion would bring out the challenges faced in the transition, the possible solutions to such challenges and the opportunities available in Punjab for such transformation.
He said that the event would also bring on the table the significant efforts laid by one of the significant stakeholders, the Government of Punjab in supporting the ecosystem in the state.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the state of Punjab provides an Excellent Platform across the value chain for growth of automobile sector in the State. He said that the conducive ecosystem very well supports the prosperity of the industries in the state and always strides in line with the industry trends.
Mr. Sharma said that the quest to transition towards the innovative mobility alternatives to the fossil fuel driven automobiles very well aligns the entrepreneurship spirit of the state.
