Natyam Bathinda’s Theater Festival – Kashmir artists stage folk-sage ‘Gosia Patthar’

On the 13th day of the 10th National Theater Festival, being organized by Natyam Bathinda in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Center Patiala, ‘National Bhand Theater’ drama team from Jammu and Kashmir, presented a folk-saga of their state ‘Gosia Patthar’.

The drama was directed by Shah-e-Jahan and it was a story of old Kashmir when it was a Hindu majority state, where monks and saints from various other places visit. Among them, a beautiful girl of the valley namely Gaupali falls in love with a saint, who declined to be in relation with her, because of his values and ethics, and later he dies.

Municipal Corporation, Bathinda Commissioner Bikramjit Singh Shergill, was among the special guests of the day, he congratulated Natyam for organizing this mega theater festival, and also, assured the work of the city’s upcoming auditorium to be finished soon. Kerala cadre IAS officer Dr. Balpreet Singh was also present at the moment, he appreciated the contribution being made by Kirti Kripal and his team in the field of art. Dr. Singh also termed the theater as the mirror of life.

Ravindra Sharma from NZCC, Deputy DEO (Secondary) Bhupinder Kaur, Principal Anuja Pupneja and retired ex-en from BDA, Er Balwinder Singh were also present.
