The Aam Aadmi Party’s Nasha Mukti Morcha announced a statewide campaign against drugs, starting May 1, to support the Punjab government’s war against drugs. Chief spokesperson Mr Baltej Pannu and Majha coordinator Sonia Mann revealed the campaign’s details during a press conference here.
Mr. Pannu said that The morcha will launch a campaign across Punjab, divided into five zones, to reach every household and gather support for the fight against drugs.
he described that volunteers will visit every house in Punjab, identifying families affected by drug addiction and providing treatment options.The campaign will seek cooperation from the public to make Punjab drug-free, with a focus on treatment and rehabilitation for those affected.
The Punjab Police has been praised for breaking the backbone of drug supply, with smugglers fleeing the state.
Baltej Pannu said that “The Punjab government is fighting a resolute fight against drugs, and our party will support this campaign by knocking on every door in Punjab.” “We will work tirelessly to make Punjab a drug-free state, and our volunteers are committed to this cause.”
Majha Coordinator Sonia Mann said that “Our teams are fully prepared to launch this campaign in Majha, and we will continue our efforts until Punjab is free from the scourge of drugs.” She said that “We will make Punjab colorful again, and our campaign will be a success with the support of the people.”
