Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, showcased outstanding talent at the 38th North Zone Inter-University Youth Festival, held at Panjab University, Chandigarh, last week.
Competing against 21 universities from Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh, the university’s contingent delivered exceptional performances, securing top positions in multiple categories.
The 58-member MRSPTU team, led by dedicated mentors—Dr. Iqbal Singh Brar (Associate Director, Sports and Youth Welfare), Dr. Risham Dhaliwal (Assistant Professor), Dr. Gagandeep Kaur (Cultural Coordinator), and Manisha (DPE)—demonstrated skill and creativity across various competitive events.
Outstanding Achievements:
1st Position in Collage Making (Fine Arts Category) – Gold Medal and Trophy- Winner: Bhinder Singh
4th Position in Western Solo Vocal – Abhijit
4th Position in Photography Competition – Gurpreet Singh
5th Position in On-the-Spot Painting – Bhinder Singh
These accomplishments reaffirm MRSPTU’s commitment to promoting artistic excellence and holistic student development.
Buoyed by this success, MRSPTU now prepares for the National Level Youth Festival at Amity University, where its talented students will represent the institution on an even grander stage.
Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kansal applauded the efforts of the Sports and Youth Welfare team, including Director Dr. Bhupinder Pal Singh Dhot, and commended the students for their dedication. He encouraged them to continue striving for excellence and bringing further laurels to MRSPTU.
To honor the students’ achievements, a special felicitation ceremony was held, where Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kansal recognized the contributions of both participants and mentors. The students, motivated by their success, expressed their determination to achieve even greater milestones in future competitions.
