The Department of Electrical Engineering, Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering & Technology, MRSPTU, Bathinda, commemorated the 135th birth anniversary of Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar by organizing an Inter-Department Quiz Competition on the theme “Life and Mission of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.”
Around 30 students from various departments enthusiastically participated in the event. The ELEC TECH Club of the department conducted the quiz, which featured oral questions covering topics such as the Constitution of India, liberty, equality, justice, and social reforms.
In this intellectually enriching competition, the first position was secured by the team of Rahul Singla (EE) and Vardeep Singh (ME), while the second position went to Harmanjeet Kaur (EE) and Diya (CE). The third position was claimed by Parwinder Kaur (EE) and Akashdeep Singh (EE).
The celebration also featured a presentation on the legacy and philosophy of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, delivered by Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, Head, Department of Electrical Engineering. Dr. Gagandeep Kaur appreciated the dedicated efforts of Dr. Anummet Kaur, Club Coordinator, along with the faculty, staff, and organizing team for ensuring the success of the event.
Prof. (Dr.) Sanjiv Aggarwal, Campus Director, GZSCCET, fondly remembered the remarkable thoughts and contributions of Dr. Ambedkar, applauded the performance of the participants, and congratulated the department for organizing the event successfully.
