The NSS Wing of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), in collaboration with the School of Agricultural Sciences and Engineering and Giani Zail Singh School of Architecture and Planning, observed Sadbhavana Diwas with enthusiasm and active student participation. The celebration highlighted the values of peace, communal harmony, and national integration.
The program was presided over by Dr. Gurinderpal Singh Brar, Registrar, MRSPTU, who in his address encouraged students to imbibe the true spirit of tolerance, goodwill, and unity in everyday life. He stressed that youth are the torchbearers of progress and must channel their energy into constructive nation-building.
The event was graced by faculty members Dr. Abhilasha Jain (Professor & NSS Coordinator), Dr. Wineet Chawla, Dr. Swati, Dr. Gagan Gupta, Dr. Kanwaljit Singh, Er. Rajinder Singh Smagh, Ms. Simranpreet Kaur, Ms. Kiranpreet Kaur, and Ms. Palak, who motivated students with words of encouragement.

Poster Making Competition:
A Poster Making Competition was held under the coordination of Ar. NyoomHerh with the NSS team comprising Dr. Abhilasha Jain, Dr. Swati, and Dr. Gagan Gupta. The competition encouraged students to depict the message of peace and communal harmony through art.
First Prize: Yashika (ECE)

Expert Lecture:
An expert lecture on “Sadbhavana Diwas: Its Importance and Relevance” was delivered by Dr. Meenu, who highlighted the historical significance of the day. She underlined the role of unity in diversity, mutual respect, and national integrity. Students shared that the lecture broadened their outlook on peace-building and inspired them to contribute positively to society.
Pledge Ceremony:
A pledge ceremony was also organized, where students, faculty, and staff reaffirmed their commitment to uphold peace, harmony, and integrity. The pledge reflected the collective spirit of unity and national pride.
