Modi’s declaration in Parliament has paved way for sending Kamalnath to jail in 1984 Genocide cases : Sirsa

New Delhi, February 6, 2020 (Yes Punjab News)

The Delhi Sikh Gurudwawa Management Committee (DSGMC) President Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said today that declaration made by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi on role of Kamalnath has paved for sending him to jail in 1984 Sikh genocide cases.

Welcoming statement of PM in Parliament today, Mr. Sirsa in statement said that PM Modi has reminded the Congress of its role in Sikh massacre in daring open speech in Parliament today. He said that the Congress party must remember speech of its leader Rajiv Gandhi who had said that when big tree falls earth shivers and today PM Modi has reminded Congress its role in Sikh genocide and its exposed hypocracy followed by it on the issue of minorities.

It is worth mentioning here that Mr. Kamalnath had led the mob with tried to set afire Gurudwara Rakabganj Sahib and two Sikhs were set ablaze by this mob during 1984 Sikh genocide. This case was closed earlier but due to untiring efforts of Mr. Sirsa case was recently re-opened by the SIT and it had summoned witnesses in the case. These witnesses have presented their viewpoint before the SIT and now a formal order of arrest of Mr. Kamalnath may follow soon.

Mr. Sirsa said that first time Prime Minister of the country has in Parliament told how the Sikhs were burnt by putting tyres around their necks and the Congress party failed to send the guilty to jails and instead honoured its leader who was involved in this massacre with the post of Chief Minister.

He said that this leader Kamalnath was till date saving his skin with the help of Congress high command but now time has come the PM himself has exposed his deeds and indicated motive of his government to send the guilty to jail.

The DSGMC President said that now Mr. Kamalnath should be ready to become first serving CM of a state to go jail and accompany Sajjan Kumar in Tihar jai. He said that the PM also mentioned that widows of Sikhs had to wait for 35 years to get justice as the present NDA government led by him constituted a SIT after assuming power which is working to send all the guilty of this genocide to jail.

Mr. Sirsa said that this day will be remembered in the history when the Sikhs have seen a ray of hope of complete justice when the PM of the country has himself spoken on the issue in the Parliament and reminded the guilty of their crimes. He said that Sikh community is thankful to the PM and is hopeful that it will ensure sending all the culprits of most heinous crime of the earth to jail.
