Modi Govt conspiring to divide farmers’ movement: Bhagwant Mann

New Delhi/Chandigarh, July 28, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
“The Union government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has gone ahead of the British government’s hate-mongering policy of ‘divide and rule’. In this connection, clumsy moves are being made to sabotage the farmers’ movement against the black farm laws,” Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab president and Member of Parliament Bhagwant Mann stated while reacting outside Parliament on Wednesday. Earlier, Bhagwant Mann moved an adjournment motion in Parliament for the seventh consecutive time.

In a statement, Mann said that the ongoing farmers’ agitation for repeal of black farm laws was creating a huge awareness among the people of the country. He said that it was imperative to oust the Modi government to create India on the dreams of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the framer of the Indian Constitution and Sir Chottu Ram. The AAP MP said that the Narendra Modi government was appalled by the nationwide success of the farmers’ movement and the government agencies were trying to divide the farmer leaders.

Bhagwant Mann warned the Narendra Modi government to refrain from defaming the farmers’ movement. He appealed to the farmer leaders to be aware of the ‘divide and rule’ policy of the central government and said that the unity of the farmers was essential for the repeal of the black agriculture laws.

Mann said that there was a need of the hour for farmers, laborers, students and sincere political leaders to save the country’s ‘food and wealth’ from being squandered. Moving adjournment motion for the seventh consecutive time in Parliament, Bhagwant Mann said that in an agriculture-oriented country, the issue of farm and farmers is being done on the streets, but it is not being discussed in Parliament of the country.
