MLA Rinku directs officers to ensure fool-proof arrangements for Guru Ravidass Shobha Yatra

Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Jalandhar West Assembly Mr Sushil Kumar Rinku directed the officers/officials to ensure full-proof arrangements for the Shobha Yatra to mark the Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji on February 8.

Presiding over a meeting with the officers including Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Mr Jasbir Singh, DCP Mr Naresh Kumar Dogra near Guru Ravidass Chowk, MLA Mr Sushil Kumar Rinku said that Police, Civil Administration and Municipal Corporation would make elaborate arrangements for the Shobha Yatra on February 8 to mark the Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji.

Mr Rinku asked the Police department to make foolproof security arrangements for the event and lady Police would also be deployed in the city during the Shobha Yatra which will pass from several areas of the city. He also told the police for the needed diversions in traffic must be made for ensuring the smooth flow of traffic.

Likewise, he also told the Municipal Corporation Jalandhar to make the necessary arrangements for cleanliness, the supply of potable drinking water, and decoration on the route.

MLA also told PSPCL officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the function and removal of dangling wires and the health the department was asked to deploy special medical teams on the occasion.

Mr Rinku asked the district administration to evolve a foolproof mechanism to ensure that this mega event was observed with full devotion and religious gaiety.

MLA assured all the representatives of organizations present in the meeting that the district administration would make all the necessary arrangements to pay tribute to Sri Guru Ravidass Ji in a befitting and unsurpassed manner.

On the occasion, Additional MC Commissioner Mrs Babita Kler, SDM-1 Dr Jai Inder Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Of Police Mr PS Bhandal, Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr HS Bhalla, Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr Gurmeet Kaur Duggal and others were present.
