MLA Pargat Singh hands over 100 Sports Kits at Jamsher Football ground

With an aim to further boosting sports among youngsters and encourage them to excel different sports, MLA Pargat Singh today distributed sports kits to 100 budding Football players at Jamsher Football ground, where young players are being trained by the Youth Fotball Club (YFC), Rurkan Kalan.

Divulging details, MLA Pargat Singh accompanied by YFC head Gurmangal Dass said that as many as 100 sports kits worth Rs. Two lakh comprising track suits, footballs, shoes, and other inventories were distributed at Jamsher Football ground.

He reiterated that Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led state government was committed to giving sports activities a major push in the region and there was no paucity of funds to promote sports in the state.

Interacting with the budding players, MLA Pargat Singh said that government was providing the kits to clubs and youths to motivate them towards sports. He added that sports help the youths to develop a team spirit which could help them to excel in their lives besides building a healthy society.

The MLA called upon youths to channelize their energy towards the sports and scale new heights in their career. The MLA further pointed out that the need of the hour was to popularize sports culture amongst the children as well as the youths.

Lauding the players, he said that they should ensure hard work in their respective games to achieve new success at national and international level vis-a-vis bringing laurels for state and country too.

Lauding the stupendous efforts being made by the Youth Footbaal Club Rurka Kalan to infuse the spirit of sports amongst budding players, the MLA said giving a fillip to sports activities was a call of the day in present times. He said that the activities of YFC to further strengthen sports activities were really commendable.

MLA Pargat Singh added that this same spirit should be replicated for constructing a progressive and harmonious society. He asked the budding players to lay due focus on study along with the Sports for comprehensive development of their personality. He said that more sports kits would be distributed among budding players to help them practice smoothly.

Prominent among others present on the occasion included village Jamsher Sarpanch Bitu Shah, village khera Sarpanch Ram Kishan, Kamma Maan, Lehmber Singh, Kimti, and Harpreet Pita.
