Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the entire Cabinet and administration are working tirelessly on the ground to support the flood-affected people of Punjab. This is not the time for blame games, but to sincerely help those who have fallen victim to nature’s fury.
This was stated today by MLA from Mohali, Kulwant Singh, while flagging off two trucks of cattle feed and one truck of drinking water for the flood-hit areas of Pathankot. The relief material was sent with the cooperation of his team and supporters.
He said that the district administration had conveyed an urgent requirement of cattle feed and drinking water in the affected areas. Acting swiftly, two trucks of feed and one truck of bottled drinking water were arranged and dispatched.
MLA Kulwant Singh assured that whenever the government or district administration makes any further request for assistance, the Mohali constituency will promptly respond to fulfill it so that humanity can stand united in this hour of crisis.
He also expressed gratitude to the people of Mohali for showing great enthusiasm and generosity in extending help to the flood victims.
Highlighting the devastation caused by floods, Kulwant Singh said that farmers and common people of Punjab are facing extreme hardships. Many have been forced to abandon their homes and livestock, their houses have collapsed, and precious belongings including jewelry and savings for daughters’ weddings and future plans have been washed away. He said that after decades, Punjab is witnessing such a major natural calamity, and at this moment, Punjabis are looking forward to help from their fellow Punjabis.
Hence, he urged everyone to rise above politics and factionalism to support the affected families.
