In an applaudable move , the district administration with the initiative of Deputy Commissioner Mr Vishesh Sarangal and SSP Mr Rajbachan Singh Sandhu has launched the “Mission Khaki“ to prepare the youth for recruitment in Punjab Police for 10314 posts .
The “Mission khaki , kar Har maidan fateh“ would be run in two phases of Physical training and learning camps under the supervision of two time Olympian and thrice Asian Games Gold medalist SP Manjit Kaur .
While launching the Mission , Deputy commissioner terms it a game changer as Kapurthala becomes first district to provide this kind of training to job aspirants on professional lines.
Calling upon the youth to come forward to avail the maximum benefits from this opportunity, Deputy Commissioner said Kapurthala has a huge untapped potential of youth, who aspire and dream to don the uniform with an aim to serve the people of Punjab.
He said that in order to fulfill their dreams the district administration has provided a professional platform to the youth. He further said that it would not only prepare youth for Police recruitment but it would be also helpful for them while appearing in the recruitment of other armed forces.
On this occasion, SSP Kapurthala briefed the students about the project which was started with a motive to facilitate the youth for police jobs besides redeveloping the Punjab’s tradition of serving the nation with maximum contribution of its youth in the armed forces .
“ Mission Khaki “ would have two components which are Physical Training Camp and Learning Camp. Physical Training will be given to candidates as per the requirements various posts.
The registration will be open till May 31 both online and offline and it would be followed by scrutiny to check the eligibility during the first stage .
In the second stage during 1st week of June, counselling camp, physical and learning camps will be started.
Physical training camps to be operated through C-PYTE and Kapurthala police and for practical training the locations would be the C-PYTE, Police lines and Guru Nanak stadium Kapurthala as per requirement .
DBEE Kapurthala would be the nodal agency to implement this prestigious project in true spirit and manner.
Besides that Physical training would be given under the guidance of SP Manjit Kaur who represents the country in olympics and won three Gold medals in Asian Games in 4*400 meter relay competition besides setting great milestones in athletics at international level.
Learning Camp will be facilitated at District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises, guided and enabled by Chetan Bharat Learning.
The learning and physical training would be imparted free of cost to the eligible applicants.
Deputy commissioner also asked the DBEE to run an awareness campaign at village level to ensure the maximum benefit at ground level.
A poster, logo and small booklet was also launched by the dignitaries regarding the Mission besides a helpline no 98882-19247 on which the candidates can contact.
Prominent amongst others present on the occasion included ADC Development SP Angra, Jeevandeep Singh PCS , Neelam Mahey etc.
