MEA should urge US to ensure strictest action against accused involved in murder of Punjabi family: Dhindsa

Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) President and former Union Minister, S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa have termed the brutal murder of a Punjabi family living in California as a very unfortunate incident.

S. Dhindsa has demanded External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar ensure the strictest action is taken against the accused.
Considering the seriousness of this incident, Dr. S Jaishankar should put pressure on the US government to take strict action against the culprits, demanded S. Dhindsa.

In a statement issued here, S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said that murder is very condemnable that a Punjabi family belonging to the Harsi village in the Hoshiarpur district of Punjab has been brutally murdered in California.

Notably, as per the initial media reports, the family was first abducted and later brutally murdered, including an eight-month-old girl.

S. Dhindsa further demanded that the Centre should also hold talks with the US Ministry of External Affairs to ensure the safety of Punjabis living in America.
