Manpreet Singh Ayali has fled from responsibility given by Akal Takht: Wadala, Chhotepur

Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar Surjit) Secretary General Gurpratap Singh Wadala and Core Committee member Sucha Singh Chhotepur, while responding to the statement made by Manpreet Singh Ayali, said that Ayali’s decision to join Waris Punjab De amounts to turning his back on the platform created by Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

They explained that the five‑member committee appointed by the five Singh Sahibs to constructively carry forward the platform created on December 2, 2024, included Ayali as a member. It was through the enrolment carried out by this five‑member committee that the Akali Dal (Punar Surjit) was revived.

After that enrolment, on the day Giani Harpreet Singh was elected party president by the delegates in the general session, from that very day Ayali had been trying to pressure the party to announce him as the Chief Ministerial face.

Because his condition was not accepted, he kept distancing himself from party activities. He did not even hold elections for office bearers in his own districts of Ludhiana and Moga, while he was seen holding meetings of other parties in other districts.

Both leaders stated that Ayali’s allegation that “the party did not assign any work to me” is completely false. In the districts where he was assigned the duty of observer for the election of presidents, he did not perform that duty despite repeated reminders from the party office.

The party had made Ayali a member of the coordination committee; he became its convener. However, even after becoming convener of the coordination committee, Ayali never coordinated with any other Panthic leader or Panthic faction. On the contrary, the very faction he went to talk to, he has now joined that same party after leaving his own, merely for political gain and self‑publicity.

The two leaders further revealed that after Ayali became a member of the coordination committee, the party’s General House was convened in Jalandhar on May 15, to which Ayali was also invited so that he could present the coordination committee’s report to the party.

But he did not come. Instead, the very next day the alliance was broken by Waris Punjab De, and within two days, under a well‑planned conspiracy, Ayali also left the party levelling baseless allegations.

The government is also putting full pressure on Ayali to ensure that Panthic unity does not happen. For this reason, whenever any leader of the coordination committee approached another Panthic leader, Ayali would oppose it. For this task, the government has also assigned a senior officer to Ayali, who used to attend meetings as well.

These leaders said that the allegations Ayali has made today are entirely false. Ayali has always worked under political greed to defame the party and to serve the government’s agenda of preventing Panthic unity. Meanwhile, party president Giani Harpreet Singh has always given priority to Panthic unity.

It is also noteworthy that even after Waris Punjab De broke the alliance, the party president and senior leadership have continued their efforts for Panthic unity. No true Sikh who respects the principles of Sri Akal Takht Sahib will ever forgive these political machinations of Ayali.
