Punjab Finance Minister Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal on Wednesday released a Manual of Instructions of New Pension Scheme (NPS) at Punjab Bhawan here.
He said that this manual would be very useful for subscribers, Drawing and Disbursing Officers and District Treasury Officers and the departments as they may get all the instructions at one place to dispose of the NPS matters expeditiously.
An official spokesperson said that in the first Manual of New Pension Scheme, instructions and Regulations issued up to the year 2018 have been complied. It has been prepared in two Parts and with 11 Chapters. He further said that the Manual of NPS would be uploaded on Punjab Government’s website so that these instructions may be accessed by maximum number of employees.
Notably, Punjab Government has implemented the New Pension Scheme for its employees appointed on or after 01.01.2004 and around 1.60 lakh officials/employees are working under the New Pension Scheme in the state. Principal Secretary Finance Mr. Anirudh Tiwari and other senior official were also present on this occasion.
